Great Migration (Wonders of Serengeti)

Your safari guide will be waiting for you at Kilimanjaro Airport. You will transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport to Karatu by private car which will take approximately two hours. On arrival in Karatu, you can visit the local markets if you have time. Your overnight stay will be at Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave Karatu village and enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will proceed crossing Ngorongoro Highlands until Serengeti gate where you will experience game drives for these two days.

Serengeti National Park is the most famous park in Africa with more than 15,000 square kilometers of savannah full of lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and many other wild animals.

After breakfast, you will continue with game drives exploring Serengeti moving north to Lobo, Bologonya and Mara regions looking for the great migration.

In Lobo, Bologonya and Mara regions in North Serengeti, you will spot the great migration during summer (July to October), the herds move north and aggregate before crossing the Mara River which is full of big crocodiles.

After breakfast, you will experience the last game drive in Serengeti National Park with a picnic. In the afternoon, you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay on the crater rim.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a must-see while on safari in Tanzania for its high density of wild animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a conservation project where the Maasai and their livestock live together with wild animals.

After breakfast, you will drive down to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. After the game drive, you will drive back to Karatu for an overnight stay.
